Former President Donald Trump revealed on the weekend that he has extended an invitation the relatives of a Guard member fatally shot last week to visit the White House.

He added that he spoke to her parents and they were “deeply grieving”.

US army specialist Beckstrom, twenty years old, was lost her life in a shooting on Wednesday in DC.

Her comrade, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, remains hospitalized in grave state.

Vigils across West Virginia have been held in their honor.

The commander-in-chief said he’s talked about a White House visit for the loved ones of both soldiers of the state Guard.

“I said: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a tough thing, arrive at the White House. We’re going to recognize her,” Trump addressed the press. “And likewise with Andrew, whether he recovers or not.”

Community members assembled over the weekend at the high school in the state to honor Beckstrom.

Both the soldiers had been fulfilling duties with the state guard as part of the president’s government program to support public safety in Washington DC.

She conducted herself with quiet strength, a warm expression and a upbeat demeanor that inspired people around her,” Hankins, the leader of Beckstrom’s previous school, informed the press. “She was sweet, caring and always eager to support those in need.”

Authorities have charged a 29-year-old individual from Afghanistan with a charge of murder and two counts of attempted murder while carrying a weapon.

The incident caused the Trump administration to suspend asylum applications and cease providing visas to possessors of Afghan passports.

The airman, a native of the city, started his military career in February 2019 and is a graduate of his local high school, as reported by the AP.

“She had a lot of kindness and she certainly had fortitude,” the governor told the audience at the memorial. “Though her life ended too soon, she has created a legacy that’s going to be remembered always.”
