Netflix Selects Ideal Actor for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Upcoming Installment
The Secret Organization is set to play a huge role in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the true confrontation won’t unfold until season 3, and a adored, fan-favorite member has just been cast.
The platform declared recently that the skilled actor will appear in the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Bon Clay. This character has the ability to transform into an exact copy of any person they’ve laid a hand on with their right hand. Escola, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will play a version of that character reimagined as non-binary, instead of as a drag queen, in the real-life adaptation, unlike the original manga and animated series.
Escola is joined by multiple new cast members tasked with bringing Baroque Works to the screen, featuring leader Sir Crocodile, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the ensemble as the ruler of the fictional land.
Although this character is a major member of Baroque Works, the character won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. Given the next season set to cover the Little Garden storyline, this signals a notable change in the placement of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could indicate further changes to the narrative framework.
Their mix of precise humor and emotional depth makes them a ideal selection for the character. Besides their current animated role in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and numerous honors for creating and performing in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, emphasizing the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s most celebrated characters.
Netflix's live-action One Piece program is due to premiere for its next installment on March 10th, 2026.
