Jurgen Klopp says rejoining to manage Liverpool is conceivable.

The German coach, who departed from Anfield in 2024, has suggested that rejoining the club remains something that could happen. The 58-year-old, after a transformative nine-season tenure featuring Champions League success and ending the club's long wait for three decades, has since taken on positions as head of global soccer with the Red Bull group and in an advisory capacity for the DFL.

Supporters’ Hopes and Klopp’s Candid Remarks

Liverpool won the Premier League in the previous campaign, but many fans who revere Klopp would welcome the idea of his potential comeback. Speaking candidly, he shared with his interviewer: “I stated I refuse to lead another team in England. Which implies in case it's my former club...absolutely. It's plausible.”

“At 58 years old, that means I might decide down the line, who knows. Is a decision required immediately? In that case, I'd stay away. But thank God, I don’t have to do that. I'll wait and observe how things unfold.”

What Would Lure Him Back?

Questioned regarding what circumstances would need to occur to draw him back to the dugout, he revealed he isn't eager toward coming back. “I'm not entirely sure, I enjoy my current role,” he said. “I don't crave being a coach; I don’t miss standing during downpours for two-and-a-half or three hours; No need for media briefings four times, three times a week or having 10-12 interviews each week.

“No nostalgia for the changing area as a dressing room, yet sharing a meal alongside the squad talking freely, that’s nice. With many victories meaning regularly great spirits around the place. Remaining with me is Van Dijk's laughter vividly recalled for example.”

Praise for His Successor

He spoke highly for his successor, acknowledging his role for the tweaks that won the league last term. Liverpool have lost four in a row across various tournaments post heavy investment, yet he dismissed the suggestion that it might signal a slump.

“[Liverpool have] an incredible striker such as Wirtz, doubters will be silenced if you use the wrong words. He’s an incredible talent. The French striker, incredible player. They have a strong thoughtfully assembled roster. You don’t have to worry regarding the Reds, things will improve.”

Heartfelt Words for the Late Forward

The manager expressed deep feeling regarding the passing of the Portuguese star, a 2020 acquisition during his tenure, and the effect for the team. The forward died tragically in a car crash with his brother recently.

“Who can fill the void of a person like him? This isn't just regarding his on-field talent, it’s the guy he was. It's hard to picture the squad absent his presence. I find it difficult to discuss on this topic. A devastating blow for his teammates too. No one within the club might employ it to justify results yet it's the reality. You walk in a dressing room where his spirit remains. Dealing with that emotionally is not easy. Impossible.”
